Radio has lyrics too
On an Apple Music station the lyrics keep up with every song. While the host is talking, the capsule shows the station's name and logo.
Send the Music window to the back and the current line stays on the desktop, under the notch and in the menu bar.

When Music plays a song, the Apple lyrics it fetched are compared with the rest: the same lyrics you see in the Music app.
When an album has an animated cover in Apple Music, the big cover in the Lyrics Window moves too.
Lyrics don't need an Apple Music subscription, and songs you imported into your library get looked up too.
Everything else works the same in all eleven players: desktop lyrics, the capsule under the notch, the menu bar, the Touch Bar, the Lyrics Window, translations, pronunciations and Last.fm scrobbling. Try it on the home page
On first launch, pick Apple Music, or Auto-detect. When macOS asks whether Lyrimuse may control Music, click Allow. Then play a song: desktop lyrics are on by default.
Partly. Music's settings have "Keep MiniPlayer on top of all other windows", which keeps the MiniPlayer above everything, and the MiniPlayer can show lyrics. The lyrics only get a small part of the player, though: they can't sit on their own at the top of the screen or above the Dock, and they can't go into the menu bar or next to the notch.
Yes. The floating lyrics sit above fullscreen apps and follow you when you switch desktops. To keep them out of what others see, turn on Hide in Screenshots: they're left out of screenshots, recordings and screen sharing but stay on your screen. Turn on Hide When Paused and they tuck away while the music is paused.
Not by default. A click on the lyrics goes straight through to the window underneath; only pressing and dragging moves them, and the empty space around them never blocks anything. If they still bother you, turn on Fade on Hover and they fade when the pointer is over them.
