During an ad the capsule turns black and shows how long is left and which ad this is. Skip it with a click, or have ads skipped for you. Ads aren't scrobbled to Last.fm either.
Music videos line up too
When a music video is playing, community-marked intros and story breaks are taken out of the timing, so the lyrics follow the picture.

Kaset, a YouTube Music app for the Mac, works as a built-in player: the lyrics follow its own clock, ads are recognized, and shuffle, repeat, Favorite and volume are right in the lyrics window.
