Pine Player reports the artist and album as one line, and only the file name when a song has no tags. Lyrimuse reads the artist, album and exact length from the file it's playing.
Pine Player is free and plays nearly any format. Lyrimuse finds the lyrics and shows them under the notch, in the menu bar or on the desktop.

Pine Player only reports whole seconds. With Accessibility permission, Lyrimuse reads its progress bar, so the lyrics land on time after you skip or pause.
A .lrc file with the same name as the song, or lyrics saved inside the file, are picked up, and you can have them win over online sources.
The repeat button in the lyrics window switches Pine Player's own repeat mode, and volume follows along. Lyrimuse reads your playlist, on shuffle too, so the next songs' lyrics are ready before they start. These need Accessibility permission.
There's no account involved. Pick Pine Player in the setup guide and you're set.
Everything else works the same in all fourteen players: desktop lyrics, the capsule under the notch, the menu bar, the Touch Bar, the Lyrics Window, translations, pronunciations and Last.fm scrobbling. Try it on the home page
